My 15 year old read it this past year. My husband is doing a re-read now. It will be my second time through and I am hoping they will listen to the episodes with me!!
Would it be possible to format that great graphic into a bookmark-ish size to print to tuck into my book? It looks great and would be helpful. Looking forward to the read!
Yep! There’s not a main book breakdown episode every week, depending on how many pages we’re reading in that section. The reading schedule is aligned to what chapters we’ll be discussing on the episodes, so pick your pace between the episodes of it you want to binge it or spread it out between the reading schedule dates.
I wasn’t sure if I would enjoy the Slow Read concept but I am looking forward to it. Also I am listening thru Audible so I hope I don’t loose to much not having a physical book. Currently reading Priory of the Orange Tree with another book club and it is a bit over 800 pages - so I was a bit over carrying around the big book !
Excited for this. I’ve always wanted to read The Stand and now this is my needed push. The link in your article is for paperback published in 2025 not 1992. Is this still the correct one?
Yes, the one linked will work! That's the mass market paperback that is currently being sold at Target, etc. If you're unsure which version you have or are looking at, check the length or if it says "complete and uncut." The 1978 version is much shorter. (There are only 2 versions.)
My 19 yr old son is going to read along with me. He’s a Stephen King fan. This is my first King novel. We r excited.
GUYS should I make my boys do this with me!?!
I love that!

Mine is too!!
Yay! What we've been impatiently waiting for!
Being excited for a reading schedule is a real personality test 😂 (one I pass!)
Right! It's like being excited for a syllabus. I love a syllabus.
Same! I love it!
I am here and joined so I can be part of these discussions. Ordered my copy and can’t wait!
YAY! It's going to be so fun.

oooh that’s a great idea! YES let me look into that…
I read it as a teenager and loved it ... and now I'm excited to see what awaits me this time!
My husband got me a copy from 1990 for Christmas. Perfect timing!
Amazing!
Hi! I'm plugging the schedule into my planner and noticed there aren't any chapters scheduled for the week of January 19. Is that on purpose?
I just finished the intro podcast and I'm so excited!!

Thanks, Laura! I love that kind of flexibility!

Getting husband to do this with me too! So excited
I am so intrigued by this idea of a nice slow read and discussions along the way. I am new to King and honestly nervous about taking on such a book!
Is this a good introduction to his writing?
Yes, it really is!
Ricole it's such a good book too!
