My 15 year old read it this past year. My husband is doing a re-read now. It will be my second time through and I am hoping they will listen to the episodes with me!!

Being excited for a reading schedule is a real personality test  😂 (one I pass!)

Would it be possible to format that great graphic into a bookmark-ish size to print to tuck into my book? It looks great and would be helpful. Looking forward to the read!

Hi! I'm plugging the schedule into my planner and noticed there aren't any chapters scheduled for the week of January 19. Is that on purpose?

I just finished the intro podcast and I'm so excited!!

Yep! There’s not a main book breakdown episode every week, depending on how many pages we’re reading in that section. The reading schedule is aligned to what chapters we’ll be discussing on the episodes, so pick your pace between the episodes of it you want to binge it or spread it out between the reading schedule dates.

I wasn’t sure if I would enjoy the Slow Read concept but I am looking forward to it. Also I am listening thru Audible so I hope I don’t loose to much not having a physical book. Currently reading Priory of the Orange Tree with another book club and it is a bit over 800 pages - so I was a bit over carrying around the big book !

I am so intrigued by this idea of a nice slow read and discussions along the way. I am new to King and honestly nervous about taking on such a book!

Is this a good introduction to his writing?

Excited for this. I’ve always wanted to read The Stand and now this is my needed push. The link in your article is for paperback published in 2025 not 1992. Is this still the correct one?

Expand full comment
Laura Tremaine's avatar

Yes, the one linked will work! That's the mass market paperback that is currently being sold at Target, etc. If you're unsure which version you have or are looking at, check the length or if it says "complete and uncut." The 1978 version is much shorter. (There are only 2 versions.)
